This country is not part of the Apostille Convention: DFA authentication plus embassy or consulate legalization.
Taiwan is not party to the Apostille Convention. Philippine documents are authenticated by the DFA and verified by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Manila. Traditional Chinese translations are often required.
Steps for Taiwan
- Obtain the original or official copy (for example from PSA, the school or the court)
- Complete any prerequisite step (CAV, RTC certification of the notary)
- DFA authentication (Certificate of Authentication)
- Legalization or verification by the embassy or consulate of Taiwan
